A Few New Things + FOTD

As the title suggests, this post is going to be a bit of a show and tell on some of the new things I've accumulated in the past few weeks. I've tested most of them, but some not at all. There's a lot of complexion products and skincare, I've been more obsessed than usual. New to me brands like Givenchy, Jane Iredale, and Ben Nye have been such a wonderful surprise. Korres skincare, also new-ish (its been years), holy effective. Maybelline mascaras, love and always a favorite.

I initially went to the Givenchy counter to look at the Le Rouge lipsticks, but was more intrigued by the Photo Perfexion foundation. I've been using it for about a week and I'm obsessed. I'll save the rambling for the actual review, but if you can, I highly recommend asking for a sample and trying it yourself. It's ridiculously good. My match is 104 Perfect Cinnamon. I love me some peachy-nude blushes but I wanted a matte one sans the brown undertone. Jane Iredale Copper Wind is perfect. It may not look it from the swatch, but I find it brightening without interfering with the rest of my make-up. It doesn't have the creamy, buttery texture I usually prefer but it goes on smooth, pigmented, and even. Really lovely. Stila Custom Color in Coral, I admittedly added just to get the $15 off my BeautyBar order but I really like it. There is some very noticeable shimmer on the pan, but very little of it actually translates on the face.

Wearing Stila Coral and Bite Bramble 'lightly'. I couldn't resist another lip pencil, this time from Bite Beauty in Bramble. So creamy and pigmented. I know this will get a lot of love in the Fall/Winter. Lancome Effacernes is one of those products that I've heard of so many times for so long but never actually tried. I love the texture of this for the under eye. It's almost like a corrector + texture perfecter in one. Beige 03 is a bit darker than I'm used to, but somehow works.

A closer look of the Lancome concealer and the new Ponds BB cream in Light. I haven't tried the BB cream yet, but first impressions are- it offers sheer coverage and a tad pink. The Medium shade is at least 2 shades darker and also leans cool.

I'm really excited about the Banana and the Neutral Set from Ben Nye. I haven't played with them yet but it seems promising. Will keep you guys updated.

Re the Korres skincare, I was given a sample of the Yoghurt Advanced Sleeping Facial at a time when my skin was deeply dehydrated and hence, bumpy. The difference overnight was obvious- hydrated and plumper skin. No irritation or redness, although it contains fragrance. I use it every night now on top my serum and under oil. Seems overkill since its summer, but my skin seems to love it. The cleanser and primer, I haven't touched yet.

Aside from Stila Coral and Bite Bramble, also wearing Givenchy Photo Perfexion (a tiny bit light atm), Lancome Effacernes, MAC Blot in Medium (about to hit pan on this, fantastic stuff), KvD Ladybird palette, Lancome Brunette brow pencil, and Maybelline Stiletto WP.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

  1. That Stila self adjusting coral blush is TDF! I bought it last year and was worried about the glitters, but ive never had any problems with it ending up on my face! And your face of the day is really soft and pretty :)

    1. Thank you! And I was so surprised about Stila Coral! It goes on almost matte on my cheeks :)

I enjoy reading any and all comments, but please refrain from leaving links to your blogs, giveaways, and etc. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay :)
